Great food, everything made to order

Love this place. Their food is consistently delicious. The refried beans are some of the best I've had in all my years of living in California. That being said, Covid-19 has changed so many things. Chevo's is doing their best with the ever changing policies the government keeps throwing at them. With that in mind, their kitchen is probably cranking it out nonstop because they are usually busy. Calling in phone orders is hit or miss. They'll tell you if they're busy; if they do, calculate an extra 20 min to your time of pickup.

I will justify having to wait a bit in line for the food. Burritos have proportional amount of meat vs other places that just fill it with 80% rice and beans. Tacos are good too. In short, make your own opinion when you go by and try the food.

Waited 45 min for 2 burritos in the drive thru. My order was mixed up. I ordered a shrimp burrito and got a bean and cheese wet. Sorry but this is the worst service for a drive throu.

Dont bother with the drive through, even if you want to go. But great food and good service.

The food is always amazing. Love their burritos 🌯. I also their deep fried ice cream.

Good Mexican food and not armed by headlamps. Service is good, area is clean, and staff friendly. Traditional dishes and some not so traditional so there is a variety for most everyone in case your taste isn't all out mexican dishes. Lots of take out orders and they offer drive through.

Amazing food. Love their Carne Asada. Just wish they would read back what we ordered to make sure both items were correct. But. Other than that. Service was fast& server was super cool. Food was hot. & so filling.

Food was A+ 3/5 star for poor customer service today at the drive through.

I've always eaten at this place for over 10 years now and they've never let me down. I know the family and its such a welcome place that you wont be disappointed when they say they make everything fresh they truly mean it. I've seen every inch of this building and it is a force to be reckoned with because of the high level of standard that the owner expects from his staff and everything is super clean. I've never left this place on a empty stomach or a frown on my face. I will continue to eat at this place until I can't take it no more..which will be never!

It was my first time there not impressed. I asked the waitress three times if the fajitas were caramelized she said yes of course my fajitas came back on a cold plate with a lot of juice watery not caramelized at all my grandson's tacos carnitas she says he can't eat I miss too much fat in it overall I won't be back..

Food was delicious but not East LA level meaning its catered for all. My biggest issue is the sound level is ridiculous- it's a small restaurant with almost no art on walls and hard ceiling so it's almost unbearably loud for dinner. Have no plan to return

Had a great experience here with my wife. The food arrived rapidly and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.

I love the food here because it's healthy Mexican food. It always seems really fresh. Seems though you wait a long time for the food.The reason I keep loving this place is the food is really fresh. I love the fish tacos in fact I would say I am addicted to them. My husband always eats the Verde pork plate. So if you're in a hurry this isn't your place! They can work on it being a little bit cleaner too!

The menu says taco Tuesday for 99 but there $1.25 please change your menu outside

One of my favorite places to eat especially when I am craving fried fish! They serve delicious food and did I mention how much I love the fried fish!!! They also have a very cozy and inviting atmosphere and such a great staff!

Chevos is great. Their chips and salsa is really good and every day they have a special that is pretty inexpensive and very delicious. The staff is also wonderful. Never had a bad experience there, and I go there for lunch often because it's right by my work.

It wasnt bad food but it wasnt great. It sure wasnt worth the price. Need to adjust that and i wouldnt mind giving bigger stars. But i can say it wasnt fast service either. And when u order a drink make it simple 1 waitress isnt very good at remembering.

Their food is sooooo good!! I could eat a whole bowl of their chips and salsa too! Always fresh!! However, what really hurts them is their service. Every time we go, we have to wait forever to get anything. Both busy or not. It's pretty ridiculous.

The staff is friendly, but the food quality does not match a the price. To the owners: stop using taco meat on your fajita plate and skip on the mystery sauce, cook fresh rice and lower the salinity of your food. For now i will not be returning to your business.

They have an execellent bean and cheese burrito. Their chunky sauce is better than the hot. I think the hot is sweet because of habaneros.

Small place on outer Hwy 18 almost passed it up. Very friendly staff and food was good. I had two hard shell chicken tacos. Only thing I have to complain is salsa was not spicy enough for me didn't have and spice.

Excellent food that's made fresh with a drive-thru for convenience. Don't expect fast service from order to delivery, that's part of having fresh food made. Well worth the wait.

Good food, lack luster service. Honestly while I was half way through my margarita and food the servers kept coming over trying to me a box or the check and made me feel rushed... it was a Friday night and the place wasn't even half full. Also I was also only offered a refill on my water at the end of my dinner. Overall ok experience, the wait staff just needs to learn how not to make the customer not feel rushed.

Visiting the old neighborhood and we decided to try Chevo's on the recommendation of friends. It's a typical sit down restaurant with the decor you'd expect. I was encouraged when I saw first responders dining there. They know all the good spots to grab a quick bite. Since it was our first visit I had to order the dish that I measure all Mexican restaurants by....Tacos. Ground beef tacos. Moms were the best so everyone else has to be measured against hers. Well I have to say that Chevo's topped Moms. They grill up the ground beef to perfection. Lightly blackened topped with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and cilantro served on a choice of corn or flour tortillas. Sorry Mom.
